App Privacy Policy

MorseCode Privacy Policy

Definitions:

  • "Android" refers to the Android™ mobile operating system, by Google, Inc.
  • "App" and "Application" refer to the MorseCode Android application.
  • "your", "you", and variations thereof refer to the end user of the App.
  • "phone" refers to any mobile device upon which the App is installed.

What we access:

  • Your phone's camera

Why we access this:

  • To flash your message in morse code, the App uses your phone's camera flash.

What we do with this access:

  • Nothing is ever recorded from your phone's camera. The Android permission is required in order to access the flash, even when nothing is being read from the camera sensor. The App turns on and off your phone's camera flash to display your morse code message and does not use it for anything else.

Can I opt-out?

On phones running Android 6.0 or higher, you can optionally deny the App access to your phone's camera. This may result in the misbehaviour of the app but will prevent the App from accessing your phone's camera at all. Phones running versions of Android less than 6.0 do not have this option, and as such cannot opt-out of the use of the camera.
